Do you have a project that could benefit from incorporating unique short-form animation?

Our doors are always open to hearing new ideas!

But first, please understand that we are not industrial animators. Most of us are part-time animators meaning we have other jobs to provide baseline income.

As far as compensation, we normally use a baseline rate of approximately $1,000 for 1 minute of animation (depending on a multitude of project-specific variables). To put things into perspective; 1 second of animation can entail anywhere from 12 to 24 frames (drawings). This means that for a proposed project that is 4 minutes long there could be anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 drawings/frames involved. Of course, there are always work-arounds to this both in regards to the style of animation as well as the scope of your project.

Please make sure to include all of the following when reaching out (by email, preferably):

  • Your vision and inspiration

  • Timeline & deadlines, if applicable

  • Budget: How much are you willing to spend on your project? Is this amount flexible?

We meet biweekly, meaning that it could be a little over a week before you receive a reply.

Last but not least, we are most passionate about projects that involve engaging local communities through a decolonial lens. We also enjoy work that allows us to experiment with writing (whether academic or not), poetry, and other art forms. Since we do not fit the mold of working as industrial animators, this means we are much more willing to play with new ideas!

We look forward to hearing from you!
